A New Focus

I have been blogging somewhat erratically for more than 10 years. I’ve written about the businesses I’ve started, tutorials on Ruby on Rails and various web topics, and all sorts of random items.

With this post, I am relaunching the blog with a new focus. There will be many more personal stories, photos, and essays.

This new focus comes from one horrible fact: I have inoperable cancer.

Facing a relatively short time remaining has given me a sense of urgency to write about some topics of importance to me, as well as to tell the evolving and very personal story of my illness.

And that is where the stories will start. But there will also be gardens, dogs, books, philosophy, history, and more.
